About the Event
Imagine learning a new skill in the splendour of an 18th century stately home. Why imagine while you could come and join me for an introductory silver clay class.
In this six hour taster session, which is suitable for beginners, you will create your very own unique jewellery in genuine 99.9% silver (more precious than standard Stirling silver). By the end of the session, you will have created an open pendant, a 'capturing nature' charm and a pair of earrings.
£80 including silver, tuition, etc
Bookable at: craftcourses.com
Silver clay is a magical material which enables individuals to create their own gorgeous piece of jewellery without having to use silver smithing techniques. The clay is created using recycled silver particles which are reformed into a clay using non toxic binder and water. Once you have learned the techniques it is so easy to make at home with easy to obtain tools.
You will learn about rolling the clay, texturing, moulding/forming, cutting, assembling, setting a stone, firing and polishing (and if adventurous enough, perhaps a bit of patina). You will find the class to be enjoyable, fun, easy and relaxing.
You will go home with your own brand new shining, genuine silver jewellery - so you can wear it immediately, enabling you to amaze your family and friends.
