Your Special Day
Himley Hall is one of the premier wedding venues for the West Midlands and Staffordshire. Himley Hall is an eighteenth century Grade II* listed building set in 180 acres of 'Capability Brown' landscaped parkland. As the former stately home of the Earl of Dudley Himley Hall was a luxurious, up-to-date home, so fashionable that in the 1930's it was a regular weekend retreat for Royal visitors, including Edward, Prince of Wales.
In 1934 the Duke and Duchess of Kent spent the first two weeks of their honeymoon at Himley. Today, couples may marry where Royal newlyweds once took their honeymoon, and photograph their special day in the grounds where princes and earls once strolled.
Ceremonies - the personal touch
Our aim is to make your day special and unforgettable. Our wedding co-ordinator and catering manager are on hand to guide you through all of your wedding preparations, helping you make the right decisions and choices. We understand what couples want from their big day, a smooth and memorable experience with a dash of the extraordinary.
Your wedding day at Himley is tailor-made to suit you. Whether it is guidance in the timing of your ceremony, helping make your choice of music or perhaps adding those special touches such as champagne on the terrace, experienced staff are always there to help.
We ensure the smooth-running of the day by liaising with registrars, photographers and florists. Hall reception staff offer a warm welcome to your guests as they arrive, ensuring appropriate private parking of vehicles and seating of guests, with named seating for immediate family. Your Wedding Co-ordinator can also ensure discreet arrival of the wedding couple if desired. Himley Hall has a wide library of ceremony music available to couples should they wish to select from it and staff also co-ordinate the playing of your chosen music for arrival into the ceremony room, during and following your ceremony.
Baskets to hold your flower petals are available however we regret that we cannot allow the distribution of paper confetti at our ceremonies.

Marriage rooms
Intimate gatherings or larger parties can be catered for thanks to our range of stunning wedding rooms and outdoor reception option. We are fully licensed inside the Hall for civil ceremonies and offer a unique venue for your wedding breakfast and evening party.
Earl's Library
This beautiful room features the stunning millennium chandelier produced to celebrate the region’s glass making heritage. It overlooks the Capability Brown landscaped gardens towards the great pool, with a vista which is beautiful throughout the year. It suits ceremonies of up to 45 people and can be set up according to your wishes. The Library has private access and is a magnificent wedding photograph setting. You can also have celebratory drinks served here.
The Drawing Room
This beautiful room provides glorious views over the parkland and is the location of our magnificent ‘air-twist’ crystal chandelier. It suits ceremonies of up to 75 guests and can be set up according to your wishes. Your wedding breakfast can also be served in here, with seating for up to 48 people.
Your Stay at Himley Hall
During your stay the Hall courtyard is reserved solely for the use of you and your guests. Himley Hall's South Wing Coffee Lounge and Galleries are open to the public, however every step is taken to ensure your privacy. Himley's policy of hosting only one ceremony or reception at a time ensures that your booking is personal to you.
Our wedding fee covers a two hour period. It is advised that your guests arrive 30 minutes before your ceremony thus allowing a further 90 minutes for both the ceremony and photographs. The fee also includes car parking for guests.
Wedding Receptions at Himley Hall
Wedding receptions may be held in several of Himley Hall’s refurbished rooms; the Drawing Room and the North Wing’s Swimming Pool Room.
The Swimming Pool Room
Formerly an indoor swimming pool, this room is the definition of 1930’s Art Deco decadence, with its period décor and bespoke lighting. Ideal for larger ceremonies and wedding breakfasts, as well as dazzling evening celebrations. It suits ceremonies of up to 120 guests and can be set up according to your wishes. Your wedding breakfast can also be served here, with seating for up to 80 people. For an evening event we can cater for up to 120 people. Adjacent to the Swimming Pool Room in the North Wing, the beautifully decorated Cinema Bar (formerly the Earl’s private cinema) is available for your guests.

Accessibility
The ground floor refurbished suite at Himley Hall is fully accessible to disabled persons. Hall courtyard car parking may be reserved for guests requiring nearby access.
